高铁红细胞，是指红细胞内含有蓝色的非血红蛋白性铁颗粒。用Romanowsky染色时，可以看到这些蓝色铁颗粒，叫做Pappenheimer小体(含铁血黄素颗粒)。
临床意义：
- 溶血性贫血时，有很多出现
- 脾切除后

Definition: Very fine dark separated or connected granules present in the cytoplasm of the erythrocyte, particularly often near the periphery of the red cell. Probably these are the equivalent to iron granules of siderocytes. Occurrence in blood: a small number present in normal blood Comment: Six erythrocytes contain Pappenheimer’s bodies. Also not much expressed anisocytosis of the erythrocytes and two target cells.
